Hi there,
*** CLICK THE MENU TAB “The Climb!” TO CHECK OUT THE BLOG OF OUR TRIP ***
We had all set ourselves a personal challenge of climbing the highest free standing mountain in the world. Kilimanjaro stands at a massive 19,340 feet above sea level. At that height there is only about 50% of the oxygen at sea level. Not only that had to endure sleeping on the side of a mountain for 7 days with temperatures going down to -15 degrees. Finally the toilet situation was a bit basic!
Whilst this was a personal challenge fully funded from our own resources we wanted some good to come out of it. That is why we agreed to raise funds on behalf of a small local charity called the Nasio Trust.
